IV3RAV

Mi chiamo Michele Corvino, e sono “on air” dal mese di luglio del 1991 con il nominativo IW3RJI (licenza speciale) , e dal gennaio 1997 come IV3RAV (licenza generale) . Sono attivo su tutte le bande HF e mi potete collegare sia in SSB che in CW che nei modi digitali: l’ RTTY è quello che prediligo! Partecipo nei maggiori contest HF con particolare attenzione ai CQWW RTTY,SSB e CW e quasi sempre come multi operatore con il mio contest call II3A, assieme a mio fratello Nicola IV3HYD, e ad altri amici: Michele IW3SSA, Marco IV3RCH, Flavio IV3GHY e Massimo IV3HJF. In contest potete sentirmi anche con il call IR3A, che è il qrz di Nicola (IV3HYD). Nicola e io lavoriamo assieme, e visti gli orari di lavoro uguali è molto facile riuscire a collegarci o ad ascoltarci in radio nello stesso momento. Per quanto riguarda la mia vita al di fuori delle HF vi posso dire che sono nato nel mese di Febbraio del 1975 e abito a Fagagna che è un magnifico paesino della provincia di Udine ed è entrato a far parte dei “ borghi più belli d’Italia, qui ho anche conosciuto Marina che è diventata mia moglie nel mese di settembre del 2001. Non l’ ho mai ringraziata abbastanza per sopportarmi e supportarmi in questa mia grande passione, penso che se lo meriti: Grazie di cuore ! Con lei condivido altre passioni: abbiamo fatto assieme il patentino per la raccolta dei funghi , il patentino nazionale per la raccolta dei tartufi e la licenza di pesca e ci piace giocare a biliardo Anche se la cosa che più ci accomuna è la passione per la motocicletta. Infatti siamo entrambi “moto muniti”: lei ha una Kawasaki VN 750 e io ho una Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500. Ho varie collezioni che vi elenco: monete antiche, banconote sia italiane che straniere, gomme da collezione, francobolli tematici di funghi , calamite, e cartoline vecchie del mio paese.

My name’s Michele Corvino and I have been “on air” since July 1991 with the call sign of IW3RJI (special licence) and since January 1997 with the call sign of IV3RAV (general license).
I operate on all HF bands and you can connect with me both through SSB and CW or through the digital systems: RTTY is what I prefer.
I take part in the main HF contests focusing on CQWW RTTY, SSB and CW usually as a multi operator with my contest call sign II3A, together with my brother Nicola IV3HYD and some other friends: Michele IW3SSA, Marco IV3RCH, Flavio IV3GHY and Massimo IV3HJF. During the contest you can hear me with the call sign IR3A, which is Nicola’s (IV3HYD) qrz. Nicola and I work together and we have the same timetable, so it’s easy to connect and hear us on the radio at the same time.
This is my private life, not counting HF experience: I was born in February 1975 and I live at Fagagna, an amazing village in the province of Udine which was admitted to “Borghi più belli d’Italia” (an association of small Italian towns of historical interest). It was here that I met Marina who became my wife in September 2001.
I’ve never thanked her enough for her support and for bearing with me while I follow my passion for HF. She deserves it : thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Together we share many hobbies and pastimes: we obtain the mushrooms picking license and the truffles national picking license, and the fishing one as well. We adore playing billiards.
There’s still one more thing that we are bonded over and we share the same love for motorcycles. Marina has a Kawasaki VN 750 and I have a Kawasaki Mean Streak 1500.
Collecting is one of my passions, in fact I’m a fond collector of old coins, Italian and foreign banknotes, eraser, topical stamps relating mushrooms, magnets and old postcards portraying my village
